Mattson is the only new product development firm that understands not only what makes food taste good or what concepts will appeal to consumers, we have the know-how to turn those products into viable commercial businesses.

Our technical team is led by Samson Hsia, our Chief Technology Officer. Samson’s team includes a group of Senior Food Technologists who spend 100% of their time helping our clients scale-up and commercialize the winning protocepts we develop.

Pilot Capabilities

We have on-site capability to do most types of food processing (retort, Microthermics UHT processing, homogenization, steam-jacketed kettles, microwave pasteurization, and more). And we have a joint venture with an off-site facility that is USDA, MID approved. At this ultra-clean facility, we can produce many types of products due to the highly flexible set up of the plant.

Contract Manufacturing

We have daily contact with contract manufacturers in every segment of the food and beverage industry. If we cannot simulate the process in one of our pilot plants, we know where we can go to do so.
